Margaret Atwood's

Presented by Ferre Play Theatre

Persephone Theatre's BackStage Stage
September 13th - 22nd, 2019

Written by one of Canada’s most beloved feminist authors, The Penelopiad is a contemporary take on one of the oldest epic adventure tales in existence.

Atwood draws Penelope, wife of the fabled Odysseus, out of the shadows and brings her centre stage to share her perspective of her husband’s journey and her life and death as a legend.

This sometimes comical, deeply moving performance will leave you awed by the depth and power of the female experience.
